2019
A misdelivered order
Anaya was handed the wrong coffee at a rain-soaked café in Toronto. Dev was two people behind her, holding hers. Neither of them left for three hours.
2021
Two cities, one calendar
Her residency moved to New Jersey, his studio stayed in Toronto. They learned the 7:10 AM flight by heart and turned Sunday phone calls into a small religion.
2024
The question
On a borrowed rooftop in Ahmedabad, with kites overhead and his grandmother's ring in his pocket, Dev asked. Anaya said yes before he finished the sentence.
